Harvest Time

Love Song Never Written©

French vanilla limbs with Autumn orange highlights,
Clear blue eyes shining in the soft silver night.

Daybreak comes
Like a daisy in a gun,
You might stroll by
And I'll feed on the light
That you give so free.

Melkweg skin with rays of freckled marcosite,
Clear blue eyes reflecting awe and delight.

Nightfall sprawls
Like a peacock on a wall,
You might wander by
And I'll dream on the light
That you give so free.

O, I feed on the dream that you might want me;
Yes, I dream that you might stop and feed on me.

Commentary:  what would it mean to you if you somehow had an insight that told you every love song ever written was really describing the writer's sub-conscious recognition of Deity in the person of the beloved?  That the song was not really about a person, but about the hidden God inside the loved one?  Would it help you feel a greater devotion to your beloved, and help you gain a richer understanding of the Mystery as well?  Would it make the surrender of personal will to another an easier thing to do?  Every love song ever written is about something we call God.
